Blended Learning Courses
Common Concerns from Adult Learners And How We Help
🎯 Isn’t university just for younger people?
No, nearly half of UK university students are over 21 years old. More adults than ever are choosing to pursue higher education later in life, and universities are welcoming mature students from diverse backgrounds. At SK Connections, we’re here to support you in taking that first step.
⏰ Can I really fit studying around my busy life?
Yes, you can. Many courses are designed with adult learners in mind. Whether you need part-time study, 1–2 days a week, or blended/online learning, we’ll help you find a course that fits your schedule, so you can study while working or managing family life.
📘 What if I haven’t studied in years?
That’s okay. Many of our students have been out of education for a long time. Some begin with a foundation year to develop skills and confidence. Your life and work experience can provide you with an advantage; you already know how to manage your time and stay motivated.
💷 How will I pay for university?
Most students we support don’t pay anything upfront. If you’re eligible for Student Finance England, you can apply for:
A Tuition Fee Loan – covers the full cost of your course
A Maintenance Loan – helps with living costs like rent, bills, and travel
Extra support – such as childcare grants, adult learner allowances, or disability support (depending on your circumstances)
These loans are paid directly by Student Finance, and repayment only starts after you graduate and earn above a certain amount.
At SK Connections, we’ll guide you through the finance process step by step, to make sure you get the support you’re entitled to.
